Continuation from A Witch's Guide to Faery Folk by Edain McCoy
Topic: Chapter 1
Midsummer (Summer Solistice)
-most faery lore
-wise to leap balefires (ritual bonfires) and drive heards through for protection
-time when one can most easily travel to Faeryland and the night when the burghs were open to human vistors

Spring
-faeries love Spring as much as humans do
-Beltane Sabbat faeries seek to steal ritual fire and the fresh butter made for the celebration
-good to leave out portion of butter to maintain their good will
-never give Sabbat fire-breaks a taboo which folk legends tell us could cause your enslavement

Imbolq
-pause to rest and to honour Goddess
-fear malevolent faeries?-ask patron Goddess for protection

When seeking
-leave last fruit of any harvest out for the faeries
-leave small portion of your Sabbat feasts left out
-any food left out at night cannot be eaten by humans or animlas should be regarded as gift to faeries

Introduction to Faeries
Topic: Introduction
This is a online journal/blog dedicated to my research into faeries. Currently I'm reading A Witch's Guide to Faery Folk by Edain McCoy. Through my posts I will be sharing information about things that I've read from the book and things I've learned from others online and offline.

Brightest Blessings,
